Luanda (ANGOLA) – The Minister of Industry Bernarda Martins inaugurated on Thursday, April 18, a factory for the processing of meats and sausages Mestre Akino, which is worth four million dollars. The plant, located in the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), starts at this initial stage with a monthly production of 50 tons of sausage per month and employs 52 employees.
For the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ZEE Development Corporation, António Henriques da Silva, this investment is an added value for the country and the Special Economic Zone in particular. “The construction of the new meat and sausage processing plant “Mestre Akino” in ZEE, which we are now inaugurating, and which corresponds to a global investment of about USD 4 million, is another step in this process of vitalization of the industrial activity in our country.“said António da Silva.
The Mestre Akino factory, owned by Farming and Industrial Corporation Filhos de Luís Nicácio, becomes the fourth meat processing unit in Angola, joining the other three existing ones, namely Carne Natura, Carnes Valinho and Aldeia Nova.
